Maintenance Bid Questions

  • You may pick up a copy of the last Lawn Care Bid Tabulation Sheet at the Houston County Board of Education Maintenance Department at 110 Barfield Street, Ashford, Al. 36312.  The last bid was not approved by the Houston County Board of Education.  We will not email a copy of the tabulation sheet, it has to be picked up.
  • The bid packet must contain a copy of the State and County business license. Any local town or city license is the responsibility of the bidder and is not required to be included in the bid pack.

  • Question: Good Afternoon, If my bond hasn’t been accepted by the cutoff time for turning in bids. Will this affect me turning in bids and possibly being accepted?    Answer: Yes, this will be considered an incomplete bid and cannot be accepted. 

  • Question: Just wanted to make sure I didn't need a Dale County license also with it having a Newton Address. Answer: Wicksburg High is in Houston County.

  • Question:  Is this a 3-year bid contract?  Answer:  Yes, It is but it requires board approval every year.
