Although down considerably from last year's record number of 83, HCHS is proud to announce that 35 juniors and seniors voluntarily signed up to take the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) today. The test is lengthy and includes 10 sections from mathematical word problems, paragraph comprehension and word knowledge, to electronics and mechanical sections. The test is used by the military to gauge entrance into the armed services as well as military job qualifications. In addition, the test is also a good gauge of future success on the ACT that the state Alabama currently requires all juniors to take. In an ever-changing world, our youth need as many options available to them as possible. This test gives them another option. Way to step up juniors and seniors!
