Mr. Mark Fairris

My name is Mark Fairris. I served in the US Navy from 1976-1980. I am a 1988 graduate of Troy State University, with a secondary education major, emphasis on biology and history. I began my teaching career as a science teacher at Samson High School in 1990. I also taught science for several years at Ashford High School, where I also coached the golf team. In 2008 I received my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, and began seeking opportunities to serve in an administration capacity. In 2010 I became the AYP Coordinator at Ashford High School. In 2011 I transferred to Wicksburg High School to serve as Assistant Principal. In 2012 I transferred to Rehobeth Middle School to serve as the Assistant Principal, and was promoted to Principal in 2018.

I come from a family of educators. My wife is a 25 year veteran teacher at Cottonwood High School, and our 3 daughters are also educators in the Houston County system. We live in the Rehobeth area and all of my grandchildren are students at Rehobeth schools, so I am definitely interested in seeing Rehobeth Schools remain as successful and safe as possible. GO REBELS and WAR EAGLE!!
