Testing 10.14.21

  • Parents and Guardians,

On October 14, 2021, we will be giving two tests on our campus. Our sophomore students will be taking the Pre-ACT and our juniors will be taking a preparatory test geared toward the ACT. It is imperative that all sophomores and juniors be at school on time and ready to test this day. Students involved in testing will need to have #2 pencils, an approved calculator, and a form of identification. We strongly encourage these students not to bring their cellphones to school with them. We will collect all phones before students are allowed to enter the testing room.

Due to testing and the number of staff required to administer these tests, students in the 9th and 12th grades will be having a virtual day of school. The expectation is for them to have at least one assignment per class the day of testing. They are not required to come to school on this day. Students in grades 7th and 8th will have a regular day of school and will not be affected by the testing being conducted that day.

Also, any student involved in testing will be allowed to leave following the conclusion of their test. In order to leave campus, students must present a signed parent note to their teachers. We’ve also attached a permission form to the bottom of this letter that can be used. We will not allow students involved in testing to be checked out via phone. You must send a note or the attached permission form. These will be collected in their testing location and a sign-out sheet will be available. Any student that leaves campus without a note will be considered truant from school and face disciplinary action for leaving campus without permission. Buses will not run early and any student being picked up can be picked up in front of the gym.

    Phone Extensions: 6327, 6328 and 6329

Make sure you specify your email and phone call as a HelpDesk issue for Virtual Students and Parents.

We now have 3 people working at the Career Academy to take Helpdesk calls for issues from Virtual Students.

These people need to get the help calls from students or parents concerning issues with the Virtual School Connections. If the caller has problems and needs someone to help then we want the help desk to get the call or email first so they can possibly help and keep teachers and administrators out of issues with simple fixes. These people are working at the Career Center and have access to Mr. Lovrich and Mrs. Minniefield as well and can forward issue directly to them if they cannot help them or the local school if they cannot help them.

They have been instructed to check their voicemail constantly so a message can be left and they will call back. Please, take advantage of this resource to allow to allow our teachers time to teach.
